Gaye Adams is a sublime painter that frequently renders the landscape of B.C., she describes her drive and the inexorable pull of one element that reoccurs in her work thus:
"What really drives me to the easel is my love of rendering light. Backlight, cast shadows, bounced light – it is all mesmerizing. I enjoy the other elements present in the visual field, those of color and design etc., but the light hooks me every time."
