Jack Turpin
Jack Turpin is a Fraser Valley artist, graduating from the University of British Columbia where he studied Painting, Graphics and Design, after having completed a degree in Physical Education and English Literature. For the last twenty years of his teaching career, Jack was a secondary school art teacher. While his artistic pursuits have always been eclectic, leading him from caricature to calligraphy, the love of drawing and story telling has been the constant theme in all his creative activities. Exploring a wide variety of media and expression in his painting. Jack is most attracted to the versatility and immediacy of painting in acrylics. A love of the rugged landscape of British Columbia dominates most of his recent thematic imagery.
Jack’s artwork has been displayed at a number of art galleries and shows in British Columbia, including the Federation of Canadian Artists in Vancouver. Most of his paintings are represented in the Birthplace of B.C. Gallery in Fort Langley. Jack’s paintings can be viewed on his website .
